Brief description of functions
A person who ensures the operation of computers by operating the control panel(s) according to established procedures. He or she participates in the development of the work schedule and ensure its execution. He or she reports processing errors and notify equipment failures. He or she may also ensure the operation of peripheral equipment as well as network-type equipment. Must hold a diploma of vocational studies(DVS) in computer support from a school recognized by the competent ministry or possess equivalent competence.
Specific functions and requirements
• Provide first-line technical support to users;
• Deploy and maintain computer equipment;
• Ensure the proper functioning of equipment and software;
• Diagnose and resolve basic technical issues;
• Monitor and manage computer systems;
• Perform regular updates and maintenance;
• Collaborate with the team to optimize IT processes.
Requirements
• Must hold a diploma of vocational studies (DVS) in computer support from a school recognized by the competent ministry or possess equivalent competence;
• Two (2) years of relevant experience (an asset);
• Proficiency in spoken and written English;
• Experience in managing computer systems;
• Skills in troubleshooting technical issues;
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively;
• Knowledge of Microsoft software (an asset) and common IT tools;
• Shows initiative, resourcefulness, and autonomy;
• Demonstrates open-mindedness towards cultural differences, empathy, and good adaptability;
• Valid driver’s license.
Priority will be given to beneficiary of the Northeastern Quebec Agreement
Working conditions
• Hourly rate based on experience (between $24.99/h and $27.95/h);
• Day shift, 35 hours/week schedule from Monday to Friday;
• Isolation premium of $221.92/week for 35 hours (without dependents) or $391.18/week for 35 hours (with dependents);
• Cargo allowance of $83.75/week for 35 hours (adults and children 12 years and older), $41.88/week for 35 hours (children under 12 years);
• Retention premium starting at $1,513 annually for an employee with less than one year of continuous service at CLSC Naskapi;
• Group insurance plan;
• Pension plan (RREGOP).
