Brief description of functions
A person who assists the dentist, dental surgeon, or dental hygienist in the performance of their duties during clinics, examinations, or surgical procedures. He or she is responsible for the preparation, general maintenance, storage, and, if necessary, sterilization of the required materials. He or she completes and files records.
Specific functions and requirements
- Welcomes the patient;
- Prepares the chair and necessary instruments;
- Explains to the patient what is happening during the treatment(s);
- Assists the dentist during treatments and with administrative tasks;
- Sterilizes the work instruments and ensures the cleanliness and disinfection of the premises;
- Responsible for inventory;
- Provides patients with relevant documents;
- Ensures adequate translation for clients speaking different languages;
- Ensures all prescriptions are sent to the CLSC pharmacy services;
- Performs any other tasks requested by the immediate supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma of Vocation Studies (DVS) in dental assistance;
- Belong to the Quebec Dental Assistants Association;
- Diploma of completion in the specialty of a recognized school;
- Two years of experience in the health and social services sector, an asset;
- Resourceful, versatile, autonomous, responsible and pedagogical person;
- Great ability to interact with users;
- Customer and action oriented;
- Fluency in oral and written English;

- Isolation premium of $221.92/week of 35 hours (without dependent) or $391.18$/week of 35 hours (with dependent);
- Retention premium starting at $1,513 annually for an employee with less than one year of continuous service at the Naskapi CLSC.

Brief description of functions
A person who, based on established general programs, develops specific education and prevention programs in dental hygiene. He/She collaborates on various screening programs. He/She applies and teach dental hygiene techniques in prevention and dental care.
Specific functions and requirements
The dental hygienist of Kawawachikamach will meet the preventive needs of the entire Naskapi population as part of a pilot project by the Ministry of Health and Social Services . The integrated task dental hygienist will work in various environments, such as schools, daycares, women’s and men’s shelters, the community center, at home, or in any other setting deemed appropriate by the Naskapi population and the Naskapi CLSC. More specifically, but not exhaustively, he/she will have to:
- Perform the acts of the service basket offered to the population according to the responsibilities described in Law 15 of 2020, such as:
- Participate in accountability reporting;
- Participate in the evaluation of the pilot project;
- Participate in the necessary purchases for the accomplishment of their work;
- Support/train CLSC and community workers;
- Transport dental equipment from one location to another;
- Sterilize used equipment;
- Maintain inventory and place orders for dental supplies;
- Continuously assess and adapt to the needs of the population.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must hold a diploma of college studies (DCS) in dental hygiene techniques from a school recognized by the competent ministry;
- Must be a member of the Ordre professionnel des hygiénistes dentaires du Québec;
- Two (2) years of relevant experience (an asset);
- Experience working in remote areas (an asset);
- Proficiency in spoken and written English;
- Shows initiative, resourcefulness, and autonomy;
- Demonstrates an open mind towards cultural differences, interest, and empathy towards others;
- Good ability to adapt to a new environment;
- Valid driver’s license;
- Knowledge of minimally invasive techniques (an asset).
Working conditions
- Hourly rate to be discussed;
- Availability for two to three weeks of work, 3-4 times a year (dates to be discussed);

Brief description of functions
The CLSC Naskapi, in collaboration with the Naskapi Nation of Kawawachikach, is currently developing its service offering for pregnant women and preschool children. The Early Years Program is an integral part of this service offering, building on community strengths and cultural context to strengthen parenting and early learning
opportunities to improve children's health, well-being and learning outcomes at school entry and throughout their lives.
Under the supervision of the Head of Services – Social and Community Services, the family education worker is responsible for implementing the Early Years Program to promote and facilitate healthy pregnancies and enhance parenting capacity and early learning opportunities for infants and toddlers. The family education worker will adapt her practices to meet the needs of families as outlined in the Early Years Program Guide and in a culturally sensitive manner.
Specific functions and requirements
- Provide home visits to pregnant women and/or families with children under six months of age on a weekly basis and continue home visits until the child is 5 years old;
- Develop supportive relationships with mothers and other primary caregivers;
- Identify, prepare and deliver sessions at group events that respond to families’ needs and preferences;
- Introduce learning activities from the Early Years Toolbox that respond to infant/toddler’s interests and developmental stage;
- Participate in the screening of children 0-6 years old with difficulties;
- Participate and contribute as a member of the team in staff meetings, attend professional development workshops and other trainings as approved/required;
- Complete reporting on a weekly and monthly basis;
- Support for translation during home visit or follow-ups meeting with the nurse or other CLSC workers;
- Collaborate closely with various partners: daycare, school, Wellness and community-based organizations;
- Any other tasks requested by immediate superior.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent;
- Speak Naskapi fluently and know Naskapi traditions, beliefs and customs;
- Ability to speak in English, spoken and written;
- Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically, both verbally and in writing, with parents/caregivers, other professionals, co-workers and other organizations;
- Ability to build and maintain trust and cooperation of others;
- Ability to handle sensitive and complex situations with discernment, tact and discretion;
- Experience with clientele 0-12 years old (an asset);
- Experience in organizing activities in the field of health and social services, recreation or community organizations (an asset);
- Show a positive attitude, a great sense of responsibility and organization;

Working conditions
- The candidate will be working indoors in an office, and regularly in the homes of parents/caregivers with children and other family members. Work may occasionally occur in other locations to facilitate programming and larger group events. Some work may occur on the Land;
- A flexible work schedule is necessary to provide programming and family support;
- Hourly rate according to experience (between $26.38 and $35.22);
- 35h/week (full time) or flexible hours;

Brief description of functions
Person who, in addition to his or her duties as a nurse, makes, due to the absence of a doctor permanently in outpost or in a dispensary, evaluations of users which allow the doctor to carry out distance a diagnosis and determine the appropriate interventions. She performs activities and procedures that are generally reserved for
physicians in other workplaces. Must be a member of the Quebec Order of Nurses.
This position includes functions in an extended role.
Provides the community's emergency childcare service (on call), alternating with the nursing team present, as first responder or second responder.
Specific functions and requirements
Responsibilities of the Home Care Nurse:
- Administers home nursing care to patients in order to improve their quality of life through a comprehensive, community and multidisciplinary approach.
- Evaluates the state of health of the user, determines and ensures the implementation of the nursing care and treatment plan.
- Provides nursing and medical care and treatment with the aim of maintaining health, restoring it and preventing illness.

- Member in good standing of the O.I.I.Q.;
- Three (3) years of relevant experience;

In collaboration with community partners, the social assistant technician will be called upon to intervene with adults and seniors to help them overcome difficult situations (situational crisis, loss of autonomy, isolation, disability, illness, family conflicts, etc.) and ensure they have access to appropriate resources available according to their needs.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
Under the authority of the head of social and community services, his/her main areas of intervention are:
• Engages in social activities according to the techniques specific to their profession with adult, elderly, and individuals with loss of autonomy;
• Intervenes in psychosocial issues and crisis situations such as suicide, domestic violence, addictions, mental health problems, etc.;
• Uses various methods, approaches, and techniques (individual or family counseling, social activities, etc.) to enable clients to increase their autonomy, quality of life, and social integration;
• Contributes, through their specific role and in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members, to the implementation of an intervention plan addressing the issues encountered and the specific needs of the client;
• Ensures liaison with North-South organizations, as needed;
• Plans, organizes, and participates in psychosocial prevention-promotion activities, in collaboration with team members and community partners;
• Collaborates closely with interdisciplinary partners as well as external partners (such as community organizations, the Band Council, the police, the CISSS Côte-Nord, the Public Curator) and actively contributes to the development and maintenance of the multidisciplinary team;
• Ensures record-keeping and prepares statistical reports;
• Actively participates in the development of projects aimed at the elderly, such as day centers and senior homes;
• Adapts intervention techniques and strategies in respect of Naskapi culture and values;
• Participates in interviews, home visits, case discussions, and team meetings;
• Provides psychosocial on-call duty (all clients) in the evenings and weekends, on a rotating basis;
• Performs any other tasks requested by their immediate supervisor.

He or she participates in promotion and prevention activities.

• Performs various types of psychosocial interventions as required;
• Responsible for identifying, evaluating, and guiding clients, both adults and youth, with addiction problems;
• Conducts individual, couple, family, or group interventions based on their field of practice and the program’s service offerings;
• Intervenes in psychosocial issues and crisis situations such as suicide, domestic violence, mental health problems, etc.;
• Conducts psychosocial assessments, develops an intervention plan that meets the client’s needs;
• Acts as a resource person for other team members regarding addiction issues;
• Actively participates in the implementation and execution of the first-line addiction services continuum, culturally adapted to the Naskapi Indigenous community (pilot project within the Substance Use and Addiction Program);
• Works closely with interdisciplinary partners as well as external partners (such as schools, community organizations, police, Band Council, rehabilitation centers) and actively contributes to the development and maintenance of the multidisciplinary team;
• Plans, organizes, and participates in psychosocial prevention-promotion activities, in collaboration with team members and community partners;
• Supervises the orientation of clients requiring intensive care in a rehabilitation center and coordinates the continuity of services between our services and rehabilitation services;
• Ensures record-keeping and prepares statistical reports;
• Adapts their intervention techniques and strategies in respect of Naskapi culture and values;
• Participates in interviews, home visits, case discussions, and team meetings;
• Provides coverage during the absence of other team members;
• Provides psychosocial on-call duty in the evenings and weekends, on a rotating basis;
• Performs any other related tasks as requested by their immediate supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
• Must hold, depending on the required field of activities, a bachelor’s degree in human sciences or social sciences such as social work, psychoeducation, criminology, or psychology. In the absence of a human relations officer candidate meeting all the requirements of the position, a candidate with a diploma in an appropriate discipline (e.g., social work, special education, or delinquency intervention) may be considered. If a technician candidate is selected, the applicable salary scale will correspond to their level of education;
• Certificate in addiction studies (a major asset);
• Member of a professional order (a major asset);

• Intervenes with children and adolescents as well as their families;
• Conducts individual, couple, family, or group interventions according to their field of practice and the program’s service offer;
• Intervenes in psychosocial issues and crisis situations such as suicide, domestic violence, addictions, mental health problems, etc.;
• Conducts psychosocial assessments, develops an intervention plan that meets the needs of the client and their family;
• In collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, actively participates in the implementation and delivery of Child-Youth-Family services;
• Supports and works in co-intervention with Naskapi “family education workers”;
• Acts as a key worker in various cases;
• Works closely with interdisciplinary partners as well as external partners (such as schools, daycare services, community organizations, CISSS Côte-Nord) and actively contributes to the development and maintenance of the multidisciplinary team;
• Plans, organizes, and participates in psychosocial prevention-promotion activities, in collaboration with team members and community partners;
• Evaluates and refers clients to external resources, as needed;
• Ensures record-keeping and prepares statistical reports;
• Adapts intervention techniques and strategies in respect of Naskapi culture and values;
• Participates in interviews, home visits, case discussions, and team meetings;
• Provides coverage during the absence of other team members;
• Provides psychosocial on-call services in the evenings and weekends, on a rotating basis;

Brief description of functions
Person who carries out design, evaluation, orientation, consultation, updating and analysis activities in one or more social programs. Brief description of functions
Under the authority of the Chief of Social and Community Services, the person participates in the evaluation and analysis of users’ needs, the development of standards, policies, clinical tools, and professional practice standards, and the search for appropriate solutions, with the aim of helping the establishment improve the quality of professional acts. He or she contributes to the appropriation of orientations, models, and clinical approaches. He or she advises and supports various stakeholders in the application of clinical processes with users. He or she may participate in various teaching and training activities, in addition to intervening with clients. The CLSC Naskapi is putting forward major projects for the coming years related to social and community services.
Clinical Consulting Mandate (50%)
The clinical activities specialist will be an important actor in this project. He or she performs functions delegated to him/her in terms of organization and support for clinical activities. More specifically, he or she supports the manager in the implementation of orientations related to community services programs (general social services). He or she ensures the accessibility and fluidity of services, develops liaison mechanisms with internal collaborators and external partners, and contributes to the efficiency of alignments with CLSC Naskapi partners. The clinical activities specialist provides clinical supervision and clinical support to the community services professionals. He or she supports the development of the annual training plan and significantly contributes to the integration of best practices. In an interdisciplinary context, the clinical activities specialist is an integral part of the community services team. In this sense, the person must ensure the oversight of the clinical vision and the deployment of the entire first-line service offer, in compliance with best practices and MSSS orientations.
Planning, Programming, and Research Mandate (30%)
The clinical activities specialist will be responsible for one or more programs or projects to provide professional assistance in the development of services, notably by advising, monitoring, or supporting various actors in one or more programs or projects.

Requirements
• University degree in a field appropriate to the position;
• Member of one of the following five professional orders:
- Order of social workers and marriage and family therapists of Quebec.
- Order of Psychologists of Quebec;
- Order of sexologists of Quebec;
- Order of Criminologists of Quebec;
- Order of Psycho educators of Quebec;
• Have a minimum of 2 to 5 years of clinical experience in various CLSC programs;
• Minimum experience of one (1) year in clinical supervision in the health network (an asset);
• Experience working in remote regions and with First Nations (an asset);
• Fluency in oral and written English;
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills;
• Interest in sharing knowledge and experiences with colleagues;
• Demonstrates initiative, resourcefulness and autonomy;
• Demonstrates openness to cultural difference, interest and empathy towards others;
• Good ability to adapt to a new environment;
• Valid driver's license;
• Any other combination of experience may be considered.
Working conditions
• Hourly rate according to experience (between $29,50 and $52,28; between 30,27 to 53,64$/h as of April 1st, 2025);
• Day shift, schedule of 35h/week, from Monday to Friday;
• Availability shift;
• Isolation premium of $221,92/week of 35 hours (without dependent) or $391.18/week of 35 hours (with
dependent);
• Cargo premium $83,75/week of 35 hours (adult and child 12 years and older), $41,88/week of 35 hours
(child under 12);
• Retention premium starting at $6,050 annually for an employee with less than one year of continuous
service at the Naskapi CLSC;
• Furnished accommodation provided, everything is included (high-speed fiber optic Internet), if located
more than 50 km from your place of residence;
• Moving and storage costs reimbursed by the CLSC;

• 4 annual outings for full-time employees with a “no dependent” status: The full-time work schedule

Brief description of functions
A person who ensures the operation of computers by operating the control panel(s) according to established procedures. He or she participates in the development of the work schedule and ensure its execution. He or she reports processing errors and notify equipment failures. He or she may also ensure the operation of peripheral equipment as well as network-type equipment. Must hold a diploma of vocational studies(DVS) in computer support from a school recognized by the competent ministry or possess equivalent competence.

Brief description of functions
Person who, in addition to his or her duties as a nurse, makes, due to the absence of a doctor permanently in outpost or in a dispensary, evaluations of users which allow the doctor to carry out distance a diagnosis and determine the appropriate interventions. She performs activities and procedures that are generally reserved for physicians in other workplaces. Must be a member of the Quebec Order of Nurses. This position includes functions in an extended role. Provides the community's emergency childcare service (on call), alternating with the nursing team present, as first responder or second responder.
