Brief description of functions
Person who, in addition to his or her duties as a nurse, makes, due to the absence of a doctor permanently in outpost or in a dispensary, evaluations of users which allow the doctor to carry out distance a diagnosis and determine the appropriate interventions. She performs activities and procedures that are generally reserved for physicians in other workplaces. Must be a member of the Quebec Order of Nurses.
This position includes functions in an extended role.
Provides the community's emergency childcare service (on call), alternating with the nursing team present, as first responder or second responder.

Requirements:
- Member in good standing of the O.I.I.Q.;
- Three (3) years of relevant experience;
- One (1) year of experience in critical care;
- Training in the Expanded Role; must have the authorizations for the collective prescriptions related to his functions or have successfully completed his training in Expanded Role. A candidate corresponding to the requirements but not having her training in Expanded Role could be considered and trained at the employer’s expense;
- Experience working with First Nations or in remote areas (an asset);

Brief description of functions
A person who assists the dentist, dental surgeon, or dental hygienist in the performance of their duties during clinics, examinations, or surgical procedures. He or she is responsible for the preparation, general maintenance, storage, and, if necessary, sterilization of the required materials. He or she completes and files records.
Specific functions and requirements
- Welcomes the patient;
- Prepares the chair and necessary instruments;
- Explains to the patient what is happening during the treatment(s);
- Assists the dentist during treatments and with administrative tasks;
- Sterilizes the work instruments and ensures the cleanliness and disinfection of the premises;
- Responsible for inventory;
- Provides patients with relevant documents;
- Ensures adequate translation for clients speaking different languages;
- Ensures all prescriptions are sent to the CLSC pharmacy services;
- Performs any other tasks requested by the immediate supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma of Vocation Studies (DVS) in dental assistance;
- Belong to the Quebec Dental Assistants Association;
- Diploma of completion in the specialty of a recognized school;
- Two years of experience in the health and social services sector, an asset;

Brief description of functions
Person who carries out design, evaluation, orientation, consultation, updating and analysis activities in one or more social programs.
He carries out interventions at the psychosocial level in an interdisciplinary philosophy and collaborates in the different stages of programming the activities of the service to which he is assigned and in the evaluation of quality, at the request of his immediate superior. He participates in promotion and prevention activities.
Specific functions and requirements
Under the authority of the head of social and community services, his main areas of intervention are:
- Carry out the different types of psychosocial interventions as required;
- Works with adult clients, seniors and people with loss of autonomy;
- Intervenes with psychosocial issues and crisis situations such as suicide, domestic violence, addictions, mental health problems, etc.;
- Performs psychosocial assessments, develops an intervention plan meeting the client's needs, provides support, advice, information and guidance services in order to resolve psychosocial and emotional problems and allow clients to increase their autonomy, their quality of life and their social integration;
- Collaborates closely with interdisciplinary partners as well as external partners such as the police, band council, community organizations and actively contributes to the development and maintenance of the multidisciplinary team;
- Plans, organizes and participates in prevention-promotion activities with a psychosocial component, in collaboration with team members as well as community partners;
- Adapts its intervention techniques and strategies in accordance with Naskapi culture and values;
- Participates in interviews, home visits, case discussions and team meetings.
- Assesses and refers clients to external resources, as needed.
- Liaises with North-South organizations.
- Takes over when other team members go out.
- Provides evening and weekend psychosocial care, on a rotating basis;
- Performs any other related task at the request of his immediate superior.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must hold, depending on the required field of activity, a bachelor's degree in human sciences or social sciences such as social work, psychoeducation, criminology or psychology. In the absence of a Human Relations Officer who meets all the requirements of the position, a candidate with a college degree in an appropriate discipline (e.g. social work technician or special education) may be considered. If a technician candidate is selected, the applicable salary range will be that which corresponds to his/her level of education;
- Member of a professional order (a major asset);
- Two (2) years of relevant experience with youth-family clients (an asset);
- Experience working in a remote region (an asset);

Brief description of functions
A person who performs tasks related to the management of human, financial, and material resources or procurement. He /she assumes responsibilities related to work organization and the planning of the execution of complex administrative tasks such as data collection and analysis.
He/she may also be responsible for the administrative operation of his/her environment and oversees the internal and external relations of it. He/she is responsible for the activities of the office staff of the management.
Specific functions and requirements
General management
- Work closely with the Executive manager;
- Taking notes, preparing the minutes, and following up on the board of directors’ meetings.
Social and community services
- Receiving calls and welcoming clients;
- Validating beneficiaries as needed;
- Organization and administrative management of psychologist visits (about 4-5 times per year) as well as telehealth appointments (3-4 times per week);
- Support to the school nurse for vaccination campaigns;
- Pre-fill parental consents and follow up with parents as needed
- Search for file numbers on Sic+
- Fill in the Excel tracking table
- Administrative support for the organization of training;
- Management and follow-up of orders;
- Grocery shopping for various events;
- Take notes and report on team meetings;
- Complete travel authorization requests for consultants and agency employees;
- Any other tasks requested by the supervisor.
Transport
- Management of the Nomadis module;
- Create airline ticket transactions
- Make hotel/accommodation reservations
- Prepare reimbursements (PO) to beneficiaries
- Communicate with beneficiaries
- Follow-up of apartments and transits;

Requirements
- Must hold a diploma of college studies (DCS) in general administration, accounting and management techniques, office technology OR hold a diploma of college studies (DCS) combined with a relevant undergraduate certificate OR hold a relevant attestation of college studies (ACS) of eight hundred hours or more combined with relevant experience in the field;
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar or comparable job within a management team;
- Experience in the Health and Social Services Network (an asset);
- Knowledge of the culture, language, and social and health issues of the Naskapis (an asset);
- Valid driver’s license.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Team);

Brief description of functions
A person who, based on established general programs, develops specific education and prevention programs in dental hygiene. He/She collaborates on various screening programs. He/She applies and teach dental hygiene techniques in prevention and dental care.
Specific functions and requirements
The dental hygienist of Kawawachikamach will meet the preventive needs of the entire Naskapi population as part of a pilot project by the Ministry of Health and Social Services . The integrated task dental hygienist will work in various environments, such as schools, daycares, women’s and men’s shelters, the community center, at home, or in any other setting deemed appropriate by the Naskapi population and the Naskapi CLSC. More specifically, but not exhaustively, he/she will have to:
- Perform the acts of the service basket offered to the population according to the responsibilities described in Law 15 of 2020, such as:
- Participate in accountability reporting;
- Participate in the evaluation of the pilot project;
- Participate in the necessary purchases for the accomplishment of their work;
- Support/train CLSC and community workers;
- Transport dental equipment from one location to another;
- Sterilize used equipment;
- Maintain inventory and place orders for dental supplies;
- Continuously assess and adapt to the needs of the population.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must hold a diploma of college studies (DCS) in dental hygiene techniques from a school recognized by the competent ministry;
- Must be a member of the Ordre professionnel des hygiénistes dentaires du Québec;
- Two (2) years of relevant experience (an asset);
- Experience working in remote areas (an asset);
- Proficiency in spoken and written English;
- Shows initiative, resourcefulness, and autonomy;
- Demonstrates an open mind towards cultural differences, interest, and empathy towards others;

Brief description of functions
The CLSC Naskapi, in collaboration with the Naskapi Nation of Kawawachikach, is currently developing its service offering for pregnant women and preschool children. The Early Years Program is an integral part of this service offering, building on community strengths and cultural context to strengthen parenting and early learning
opportunities to improve children's health, well-being and learning outcomes at school entry and throughout their lives.
Under the supervision of the Head of Services – Social and Community Services, the family education worker is responsible for implementing the Early Years Program to promote and facilitate healthy pregnancies and enhance parenting capacity and early learning opportunities for infants and toddlers. The family education worker will adapt her practices to meet the needs of families as outlined in the Early Years Program Guide and in a culturally sensitive manner.
Specific functions and requirements
- Provide home visits to pregnant women and/or families with children under six months of age on a weekly basis and continue home visits until the child is 5 years old;
- Develop supportive relationships with mothers and other primary caregivers;
- Identify, prepare and deliver sessions at group events that respond to families’ needs and preferences;
- Introduce learning activities from the Early Years Toolbox that respond to infant/toddler’s interests and developmental stage;
- Participate in the screening of children 0-6 years old with difficulties;
- Participate and contribute as a member of the team in staff meetings, attend professional development workshops and other trainings as approved/required;
- Complete reporting on a weekly and monthly basis;
- Support for translation during home visit or follow-ups meeting with the nurse or other CLSC workers;
- Collaborate closely with various partners: daycare, school, Wellness and community-based organizations;
- Any other tasks requested by immediate superior.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent;
- Speak Naskapi fluently and know Naskapi traditions, beliefs and customs;
- Ability to speak in English, spoken and written;
- Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically, both verbally and in writing, with parents/caregivers, other professionals, co-workers and other organizations;
- Ability to build and maintain trust and cooperation of others;
- Ability to handle sensitive and complex situations with discernment, tact and discretion;
- Experience with clientele 0-12 years old (an asset);
- Experience in organizing activities in the field of health and social services, recreation or community organizations (an asset);

Working conditions
- The candidate will be working indoors in an office, and regularly in the homes of parents/caregivers with children and other family members. Work may occasionally occur in other locations to facilitate programming and larger group events. Some work may occur on the Land;

Brief description of functions
Person who carries out design, evaluation, orientation, consultation, updating and analysis activities in one or more social programs.
He carries out interventions at the psychosocial level in an interdisciplinary philosophy and collaborates in the different stages of programming the activities of the service to which he is assigned and in the evaluation of quality, at the request of his immediate superior. He participates in promotion and prevention activities.
Specific functions and requirements
Under the authority of the head of social and community services, his main areas of intervention are:
- Intervenes with children and their families in collaboration with the school, daycare and social settings;
- Actively participates in the implementation and implementation of 0-12 year old services, as well as the Agir Tôt program;
- Coordinates screening, evaluation and early stimulation activities 0-6 years;
- Supports and works in co-intervention with family education workers;
- Intervenes with young people aged 6-12, and their families, presenting significant behavioral problems, mental health or problems that considerably affect their functioning in a variety of contexts;
- Acts as a pivotal worker in various files, ensures that files are maintained under his responsibility, develops individualized intervention plans and enters data into Sic+;
- Works with the multidisciplinary team and actively participates in clinical discussions;
- Organizes and leads activities for young people with specific problems;
- Plans, organizes and participates in prevention-promotion activities with a psychosocial component, in collaboration with team members as well as community partners;
- Assesses and refers clients to external resources, if necessary;
- Ensures liaison with North-South organizations;
- Adapts its intervention techniques and strategies in accordance with Naskapi culture and values;
- Participates in interviews, home visits, case discussions and team meetings;
- Takes over when other team members go out;
- Provides evening and weekend psychosocial care, on a rotating basis;
- Performs any other related task at the request of his immediate superior.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must hold, depending on the required field of activity, a bachelor's degree in human sciences or social sciences such as social work, psychoeducation, criminology or psychology. In the absence of a Human Relations Officer who meets all the requirements of the position, a candidate with a college degree in an appropriate discipline (e.g. social work technician or special education) may be considered. If a technician candidate is selected, the applicable salary range will be that which corresponds to his/her level of education;
- Member of a professional order (a major asset);
- Two (2) years of relevant experience with youth-family clients (an asset);
- Experience working in a remote region (an asset);
- Fluency in oral and written English;
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills;
- Interest in sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues;
- Demonstrates initiative, organization and autonomy;
- Demonstrates open-mindedness in the face of cultural difference, interest and empathy towards others;
- Good ability to adapt to a new environment;

Working conditions
- Hourly rate according to the Nomenclature des titres d’emploi, des libellés, des taux et des échelles de salaire du réseau de la santé et des services sociaux, based on the job title related to the candidate’s diploma;
- Day shift, schedule of 35h/week, from Monday to Friday;
- Availability shift;
- Isolation premium of $221.92/week of 35 hours (without dependent) or $391.18$/week of 35 hours (with dependent);
- Cargo premium 30.27$/week (adult and child 12 years and older), 15.16$/week (child under 12);
- Retention premium starting at $6,050 annually for an employee with less than one year of continuous service at the Naskapi CLSC;

Brief description of functions
Person who, in addition to his or her duties as a nurse, makes, due to the absence of a doctor permanently in outpost or in a dispensary, evaluations of users which allow the doctor to carry out distance a diagnosis and determine the appropriate interventions. She performs activities and procedures that are generally reserved for
physicians in other workplaces. Must be a member of the Quebec Order of Nurses.
This position includes functions in an extended role.
Provides the community's emergency childcare service (on call), alternating with the nursing team present, as first responder or second responder.
Specific functions and requirements
Responsibilities of the Home Care Nurse:
- Administers home nursing care to patients in order to improve their quality of life through a comprehensive, community and multidisciplinary approach.
- Evaluates the state of health of the user, determines and ensures the implementation of the nursing care and treatment plan.
- Provides nursing and medical care and treatment with the aim of maintaining health, restoring it and preventing illness.
- Plan health services related to health promotion, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation.
REQUIREMENTS
- Member in good standing of the O.I.I.Q.;
- Three (3) years of relevant experience;
- One (1) year of experience in critical care;
- Training in the Expanded Role; must have the authorizations for the collective prescriptions related to his functions or have successfully completed his training in Expanded Role. A candidate corresponding to the requirements but not having her training in Expanded Role could be considered and trained at the employer’s expense;
- Footcare training (an asset);
- Experience working with First Nations or in remote areas (an asset);
