The CLSC is located in the Naskapi territory of Kawawachikamach, a region rich in nature and culture. It is responsible for planning, coordinating, organizing, and delivering health and social services to the Naskapi community. Person assigned to cleaning and maintaining cleanliness at the facility.
Specific functions and requirements
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Clean, disinfect, mop, strip, scrub, polish, and wax floors;
- Clean bathrooms and replenish sanitary supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and hand towels;
- Empty the care unit trash and biomedical waste receptacles;
- Periodical cleaning, such as walls, ceilings, and interior and exterior windows, etc., as per needs and request from team leader;
- All other related tasks.
REQUIREMENTS AND REQUIRED PROFILE
- Fluency in oral and written English;
- Demonstrates initiative, resourcefulness, and autonomy;
- Able to exercise sound judgment, assess tasks, and set priorities effectively;
- Good physical condition, as the work involves standing and lifting;
- Reliable;
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills;
- Demonstrates a positive attitude, a strong sense of responsibility, and organizational skills.
Working conditions
- The Naskapi CLSC is seeking individuals interested in being placed on the on-call list for the housekeeping team. Selected candidates will be contacted for replacement shifts based on their availability and the organization’s needs.
- Occasional part-time status
- Hourly rate of $24.13/h;
- Day shift of 7h, from 8h 30 a.m. to 4h 30p.m.;
- Full-time work schedule would be 35-hour/week, Monday to Friday;
- Isolation premium of $227.69/35-hour week (without dependents) or $401.36/35-hour week (with dependents);
- Retention premium starting at $1,513 per year for an employee with less than one year of continuous service at the CLSC Naskapi;
- Cargo premium of $83.75/35-hour week (per adult and child 12 years of age and older), $41.88/35-hour week (per child under 12 years of age);
- Group insurance plan;
- Defined benefit pension plan (RREGOP).
