Brief description of functions
Occupies a generalist role under the supervision of the Head of Human Resources Services, Organizational Coordination and Executive Support. Primarily responsible for the development and operational monitoring of processes related to the medical and administrative management of employee files. Monitors active cases, coordinates medical assessments and oversees return-to-work processes. In collaboration with the Manager of Human Resources, participates in selected labour relations matters and disciplinary investigations. Develops policies, procedures and guidelines to standardize practices and facilitate human resources management at the Naskapi CLSC.
Specific functions and requirements
Occupational Health and Safety
- Ensure the administrative and medico-administrative management of workplace accident and occupational disease files;
- Enter and maintain data in the SIGMA-RH system;
- Monitor CNESST, salary insurance, and disability claims.Assurer la gestion administrative et médico-administrative des dossiers d'accidents du travail et de maladies professionnelles;
- Manage the medical assessment process;
- Act as a resource person for managers, employees, and healthcare professionals.
Absenteeism Management
- Monitor cases of chronic or excessive absenteeism;
- Participate in preventive interventions aimed at reducing absenteeism.
Labour Relations
- Interpret collective agreements and applicable legislation;
- Advise managers on administrative and disciplinary measures;
- Participate in disciplinary investigations in compliance with applicable laws and established case law;
- Prepare disciplinary letters with the support of the Human Resources Manager;
- Participate in labour relations committees and ensure compliance of practices with collective agreements and applicable legislation.Interpréter les conventions collectives et les lois applicables;
Advisory Support to Managers
- Advise managers on the application of collective agreements, policies, and procedures;
- Analyze problematic situations and recommend appropriate solutions;
- Support managers in attendance and absenteeism management;
- Participate in the development and continuous improvement of HR practices.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations, Law, Human Resources Management, or another discipline relevant to the position; a combination of relevant education and significant experience in medico administrative management within the health and social services or the education sectors may be considered;
- Five (5) years of experience in human resources management within the health and social services or the education sectors;
- Two (2) years of experience in medico-administrative management within the health and social services or the education sectors;
- Experience in labour relations (asset);
- Knowledge of the SIGMA-RH system;
- Knowledge of labour legislation, CNESST regulations, and collective agreements within the healthcare network;
- Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written;
- Availability to travel to the community of Kawawachikamach;
- Experience working with First Nations communities or in remote regions (an asset).

Working conditions
- Hourly salary based on experience (ranging from $30.56 to $52.37 per hour);
- Remote work position, with on-site presence in the community of Kawawachikamach approximately 12 weeks per year;
- Fully furnished accommodations provided during travel to the community, including television, landline;
- Telephone, and high-speed fibre-optic Internet;
- Travel expenses and per diems covered for work-related travel to the community;
- Group insurance plan;
- Defined benefit pension plan (RREGOP);
- Eligibility for a Northern leave benefit if you are currently employed within the health and social services network.
