The CLSC is located in the Naskapi territory of Kawawachikamach, a region rich in nature and culture. It is responsible for planning, coordinating, organizing, and delivering health and social services to the Naskapi community. It also contributes to the healthcare of the entire regional population.

Brief description of functions
A professional who assesses physical impairments and functional limitations related to the neurological, musculoskeletal, and cardiorespiratory systems, develops a treatment plan, and carries out interventions aimed at achieving optimal functional performance.
Specific functions and requirements
- Draft and update progress notes;
- Complete initial assessments and follow-up reports;
- Prepare professional reports for physicians, insurance providers, and employers;
- Document clinical information in the electronic health record (EHR);
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality and documentation standards;
- Participate in interdisciplinary case discussions;
- Coordinate with appointment scheduling offices;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of services.
Requirements
- Must hold a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy;
- Must be a member in good standing of the Ordre Professionnel de la Physiothérapie du Québec (OPPQ);
Physiotherapists holding a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy who became members of the OPPQ prior to the changes in professional nomenclature will also be considered for this position.
- Two (2) years of relevant experience (an asset);
- Experience working in a remote or northern region (an asset);
- Proficiency in spoken and written English;
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills;
- Interest in sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues;
- Respect for Naskapi culture and values;
- Diverse clinical competencies, including community health, home care, geriatric care, and pediatric care.
Working conditions
- Hourly rate based on experience (between $31,48/hour and $57,75/hour);
- Day shift;
- Available to travel to Kawawachikamach for one week per month or two weeks every two months.
- Regional disparity premium of $233,38 per week of 35 hours (without dependents) or $411,40 per week of 35 hours (with dependents);
- Cargo premium of $83,75 per week of 35 hours (adults and children aged 12 and over), $41,88 per week of 35 hours (children under 12 years of age);
- Retention premium starting at $115,94 per week of 35 hours for employees with less than one year of continuous service at the Naskapi CLSC;
- Furnished housing provided, all utilities included (high-speed fibre-optic Internet), if located more than 50 km from your place of residence;
- Paid travel day and travel expenses;
- Group insurance plan;
- Defined benefit pension plan (RREGOP).
