The CLSC is on the Naskapi territory of Kawawachikamach, a region rich in nature and culture. It is responsible for planning, coordinating, organizing and providing health services and social services to the Naskapi community. It also collaborates in the health care of the entire population of the region.

Responsibilities of the Home Care Nurse:
- Administers home nursing care to patients in order to improve their quality of life through a comprehensive, community and multidisciplinary approach.
- Evaluates the state of health of the user, determines and ensures the implementation of the nursing care and treatment plan.
- Provides nursing and medical care and treatment with the aim of maintaining health, restoring it and preventing illness.
- Plan health services related to health promotion, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation.
ᑕᑐᐎᒡ ᐊᓯᓇᒂᒡ ᐊᑐᔅᒐᐅᓇ ᑭᔭ ᒐᒂᓐ ᒐᓄᑕᐱᐃᒡ
Requirements
- Member in good standing of the O.I.I.Q.;
- Three (3) years of relevant experience;
- One (1) year of experience in critical care;
- Training in an expanded role (an asset);
- Experience working with First Nations or in remote areas (an asset);
- Fluency in oral and written English;
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills;
- Interest in sharing knowledge and experiences with colleagues;
- Demonstrates initiative, resourcefulness and autonomy;
- Demonstrates openness to cultural difference, interest and empathy towards others;
- Good ability to adapt to a new environment;
- Valid driver's license
ᒐᐃᓯᓇᑯᓂᒡ ᐊᓐᑕ ᐊᑐᔅᒐᐅᓂᒡ
- The full-time work schedule is eight (8) weeks worked and five (5) weeks off;
- Hourly rate according to collective agreements;
- Day shift;
- Standby shift;
- Regional disparity premium of $10,627 (without dependent) or $18,732 (with dependent);
- Cargo premium of $30.27/week (adult and child 12 and over), $15.16/week (child under 12);
- Annual retention bonus of $15,000;
- Furnished accommodation provided, everything is included (high-speed fiber optic Internet), if located more than 50km from your place of residence;
- Moving and storage expenses reimbursed by the CLSC;
- Transport paid;
- 3 or 4 annual outings depending on the status;
- Possibility of obtaining a northern leave if you are currently working in the health network;
- Group insurance plan;
- Defined benefit pension plan (RREGOP).
