The CLSC is on the Naskapi territory of Kawawachikamach, a region rich in nature and culture. It is responsible for planning, coordinating, organizing and providing health and social services to the Naskapi community. It also collaborates in the health care of the entire population of the region.

Under the authority of the head of social and community services and in collaboration with community partners, the psychoeducator participates in the implementation of the Agir Tôt program (early intervention program for children aged 0-5 with developmental delays ). In addition, he works with young people aged 6-12 with behavioral, oppositional, attention problems, and various mental health or relational problems, etc. And this, in collaboration with his living environments, and particularly with his family. He also participates in setting up and running prevention/promotion activities. He intervenes in a crisis situation and is also called upon to provide psychosocial care.

Specific functions
Under the authority of the Head of Social and Community Services, its main areas of intervention are:
- Actively participates in the implementation and implementation of the Agir Tôt program;
- Intervenes with children and their families in collaboration with daycare and social settings;
- Coordinates screening, evaluation and early stimulation activities for 0-5 year old and supports, trains and supervises family education workers;
- Assesses and follows up young people ages 6-12 who present with significant behavioral problems, mental health problems or problems that significantly affect their functioning in a variety of contexts.
- Acts as a navigator in various files, ensures the keeping of files under his responsibility, develops individualized intervention plans and enters data into sic+;
- Works with the multidisciplinary team and actively participates in clinical discussions;
- Intervenes with the young person's family;
- Organizes and leads activities for young people with specific problems;
- Organizes prevention-promotion activities;
- Intervenes in a crisis situation;
- Provides psychosocial care evenings and weekends, on rotation
Requirements
- Hold a terminal university degree in psychoeducation;
- Be a member in good standing of the OCCOPPQ professional order;
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience with clients aged 0-5 years with developmental delays and 2 years of experience with young people with behavioral problems / mental health problems;
- Experience with the systemic approach and working with families, a major asset;
- Knowledge of the Agir Tôt program, a major asset;
- Experience working in remote regions and with First Nations, a major asset;
- Fluency in English and French (spoken and written);
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team;
- Sense of organization and autonomy;
- Facilitation skills;
- Ability to transmit knowledge and supervise stakeholders;
- Valid driver's license.

- Hourly rate between $27.08 and $47.98;
- Day shift;
- Availability shift;
- Annual regional disparity premium of 10,627 $ (without dependent) or 18,732$ (with dependent);
- Cargo premium 30.27$/week (adult and child 12 years and older), 15.16$/week (child under 12);
- Furnished accommodation provided, everything is included (high-speed fiber optic Internet), if located more than 50 km from your place of residence;
- Moving and storage costs reimbursed by the CLSC;
- Paid transport;
- 3 or 4 annual outings (sorties) depending on the status;
- Possibility to obtain a Nordic leave if you are working in the Health Network;
